As DACA Debate Drags On, Some DREAMers Are Moving Back To Mexico Voluntarily

For some DACA recipients, the dream became too hard to hold onto. Noe Martinez came to the U.S. when he was 15. By 29, he had a college degree and a thriving business in Oklahoma. But he missed his parents in Mexico. Now he's back there and wondering what lies in store for him.

Anyone still care about DACA?

Seems like not a lot of talk on CNN/MSNBC about this important topic (which is still completely unresolved).

I wish it could be more front and center as it was before.

There was no positive resolution - so why has the noise died down?

In sucking all of the air out of the proverbial room. In the media, on social media and in here.

When was the last time you saw a 2018 strategy or GOTV thread in here? You would never know it's an election. year.

That we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Not a whole lot of walking going on.

We have to challenge Trump on his own turf. That's the main reason he won.

Next would be immigration and gun law reform. Social issues last.

But I see GOTV booths all the time irl.

Plenty of us know it's an election year. It's a midterm election, which tends to be more scattered.

I could post fifty threads right now about McCaskill, Hogansen, ballot initiatives and the impact of Greitens on Hawley's Senate campaign. As the time comes closer-after the August primary-people will have more interest.
