to the DOJ proceedings would involve Trump's resignation with the agreement of both political parties. Resignation is of course not going to happen -- not until long after Trump fires Giuliani anyway. But even then, if it did, it'd at most only stop prosecution of Trump. The investigation would continue to roll up others, most of whom are going to prison.
