they can't/don't cheat. In mass voting elections, they know folks are watching each race nationally, and they cheat.

(37,543 posts)16. I grew up in that district and lived in it, on and off, for about 25 years.
The schools were good, the politics, not so much.
I had a whole lifetime away from the place of course, and have no idea what it's like today.
My father was pretty right wing; my mother, a moderate, but often voted Republican, for Nixon twice, 1960 and 1968, although she did vote for McGovern was the army was laying claim to her son.
It's nice to see my home town come to its senses.
