Perhaps, Mike Pence would be better..for this reason. Trump doesn't get the job.

He goes on Fox News, and he thinks he is back when he was on the Apprentice ..in charge of the show..all of the show. Pence knows that this is not a show, that this is one of the most important positions in the entire world. Trump cannot shut up. He doesn't get it. I don't think he is capable of getting "it"

Trump acts like it is a two bit show and he is the boss. Pence would know the truth. Obama knew and even Bush Jr. knew. Eisenhower knew as did both Franklin and Theodore Roosevelt. Clinton knew as Hillary knows.

Trump really doesn't know. He doesn't care to know or learn. He doesn't want to learn. He thinks he knows it all, and he really doesn't know. Pence knows as do you and I.

2. I think the one impeachment/removal scenario that is realistic is if Pence gets ambitious...

and convinces Congress to remove Orange hitler. If Rs decided, particularly after a (still hypothetically) disastrous midterm, that WTF, might as well go with the Pence guy, and Pence (probably privately) convinces them to go ahead, then I could see it happening.

Other scenarios I think are pretty unlikely.

I honestly think if truly cornered Trump will care not one iota about consequences and may just inflict as much harm as possible on the way out. I don't see Pence intentionally destroying us all and our system of government.

Trump is vindictive. If we're lucky he'll take everyone down with him in a giant shit storm of failure, including Pence and Paul Ryan.

There's got to be a Gerald Ford sort of Republican willing to step up to the plate, one not dripping with the foul slime of Trump's Presidency.
