They are pushing the Gallop Poll this morning which shows a 42% approval rating for trump, up from

38%.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-04-30/trump-approval-rises-to-42-highest-gallup-reading-in-11-months

That is the headline number they are using, but the fact is that over 50% disapprove of the SOB.

What is particularly concerning is that 40% of the populace approve of the job that the racist, sexist, bigot in the WH, and that is a disgrace

It's a bit high because of the polling methods that don't capture some demographics, but about a third of the US are Archie Bunkers - I have them in my family (the ones who live in SC).

It's not the majority...and actually is about the same as it's been since tRump started running.

Gallop's margin of error is normally around 3%+/- and, while better than Rasmussen, it's not by a lot.

Sadly there will always be a section of this country that are Archie Bunker types. (Now there's a show of like to see a major channel remake and modernise with Rob Reiner as in charge as the director. )

Today is Law Day and I am preparing to give a presentation at a local high school. The topic is separation of powers. I read that a recent survey found that only 26 percent of Americans can name the three branches of government under our Constitution.

How do we have any chance with such an uninformed electorate?

... which broadly is anything and anyone labeled liberal by the right-wing propaganda machine, including RINOs, and most certainly any Democrat. It doesn't matter how much of a turd Trump is; he's on their side of the culture war, so they will vote for him, because... Democrats. And the people who actually make most of Trump's decisions and those who oversee the departments are generally doing fine for the Republican donor class, so they're cool, too.

Forget about trying to convince them otherwise: We can and must outnumber them at the polls.

'Disgrace" is the weakest term for it. I am truly beyond words to describe the support for this traitorous authoritarian fascist.

"FUCK TRUMP, and fuck YOU for voting for him" is my best response to them.
