Wow. Rod Rosenstein just now to Laura Jarrett "I'm being threatened"

"I can tell you that there have been people who have been making threats privately and publicly against me for quite some time and I think they should understand by now the Department of Justice is not going to be extorted."

that the Justice Department won't be extorted but they clearly forget and keep trying. They need to be reminded over and over and over and over and over again. Keep calling them out.

Sorry, but I lost any respect that I had for Republicans a long time ago. I respected Ike. My parents who were Franklin Democrats respected Ike. He was one of the last Republicans that was worth a damn. I knew kids that were born in a migrant labor camps during the depression. Many of my buddies didn't even have a birth certificate. We weren't a hell of a lot better off. My dad and mom were just scraping by. But we trusted the government because of men like, a Franklin, Truman and Ike. The Republicans have destroyed that basic trust. They have sowed nothing but hatred. They are a plague that has poisoned the nation with their venom laden tongues and their lust for money. I have grown to actually despise the bastards. Sad.

Grandma’s too.

We have not had one decent Republican since IKE. And I include the elder Bush in that. He helped Reagan win by his Dirty deal with the Iranian hostages.

I listened to one of them speak and answer questions while on a Paratroopers Convention. And, my neighbors brother was one of them.

Cheers indeed to Mr. Rosenstein, J!

He said it like a real boss.

He's practically daring the Republicans to try to impeach him.

He and Mueller have this thing figured out. And they have a plan to bring about justice.

This helps me sleep a little better at night, knowing the criminals that occupy the White House are living on borrowed time.

Yes, he *knows* some things, and his confidence and good humor completely caught me off guard in a most delightful manner!!

If gives me hope to hear Rosenstein speak as clearly and with as much conviction as he obviously has, someone who takes his oath of office seriously.

Hang tough, Sir. For every threat you've received, there are 10x the number of people who support what you're doing.

6. So what exactly does that mean?
Tue May 1, 2018, 04:19 PM
May 2018

Words like "extortion" mean one thing to laymen and another to attorneys. This sounds like the DOJ may have a cause of action against those people who have been making "threats". What does he mean by threats? Physical, or the threat of firing a prosecutor or his boss? Which people? Is Trump one of those people? Would the DOJ file criminal charges against a sitting President for extortion, among other things? Would they do it against a sitting Congressman (I'm looking at you, Devin Nunes)? Can tweets be considered threats under certain circumstances?

This raises more questions than it answers. Have Mueller and Rosenstein simply handed Trump some rope and allowed him to hang himself with it? Is that what is being insinuated?

11. As you say, it's complicated.

The most complicated and dangerous is when a mad-man/woman uses innuendo, covert threats, leaks to friends and friendly news outlets to try to change the course of history.

Are its tweets covered by the oath of office? Did it write them? Or is there someone else that has access to its twitter account - internal or external?

I hate to say this, but until we have a provable, certifiable chain of custody of these important documents, then they should not be taken as real.

Can it launch a strike against some foreign power via tweet? Can it cause a ransacking of a doctor's office by a hallway conversation with a henchman? Can it hire hit men/beagles to threaten others without consequence.

It remains to be seen whether law will prevail.

And yes, it would probably wrap that rope around its pudgy neck, just as it would stare at the eclipse.

they want, hiding behind call screeners and they ALL repeat what limbaugh hannity savage levin say on their shows attacking the "deep state" - SINCE INAUGURATION!

that's what those stations do all fucking day and most of the advertisers that pay for it won't have a clue until someone calls to thank them for giving us trump - and now attacking mueller and rosenstein

this whole thing turns around very quickly when dems finally figure out the only media advantage the right has is their unchallenged talk radio

He's sitting on a gold mine, like Comey was. He's a key player in an historical set of events in the country. When it's over, at least fr him, he'll make a mint on his book deal and tour. So a threat of "you'll never work in this town again" doesn't have quite the desired effect.
