'We Will Win. I Will Run for Speaker': Nancy Pelosi Predicts Democratic Wave Will Retake the House

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says she believes Democrats will take back the House, and her members do too. And when they do, she will run to become Speaker of the House again.

Despite – or, because – she had the most effective and successful leadership of the House of Representatives in (at least) modern U.S. history, Republicans hate her.

“We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too,” Pelosi told The Boston Globe on Tuesday.

“It’s important that it not be five white guys at the table, no offense,” Pelosi said, referring to the top two leadership spots in the House and Senate and the presidency. “I have no intention of walking away from that table.”

so throwing Pelosi aside to eliminate her as a talking point is asinine. It'll just be "demon-spawn libtard-disaster Joe Blow" on talk-radio/FoxNews the next day anyway.

Sure, to some swing voters the D leader being a woman, repping SF, are 2 big strikes against her. Okay. I doubt that is more important than the voters general opinion of D vs R, or incumbent POTUS. I hate Paul Ryan, but that didn't decide my last House Rep vote -- my rep and the opponent did.

But she's also a savvy legislative leader. Getting sh*t done matters. Figuring a way to work w/ the Senate and POTUS matters. She's very good at corralling/whipping the right votes to pass a bill, while letting some of her coalition in certain swing districts (depending on the bill) vote against w/o fracturing the caucus, and negotiating such bills w/ the Senate. I'm not going to vote for my rep again or not b/c Pelosi got a bill passed or not, but because the bill passed or not. That's why she would be good for Dems.

However with that being said, would love to see Pelosi become the 1st Women President after Dems take back the House and Trump and Pence get Mueller'd. I know she's got baggage. Hell, when you are in politics that long, with that much money....you ARE GOING TO HAVE BAGGAGE! But she also is not afraid to bring the fight to the floor. She is a true leader, and she's done more for the progressive movement in the House than the last ten Speakers.

I'm sick and tired of this ball less twink that we've had for the past years. If there is younger blood that can compete with Nancy, I'm open to listen....but she's the proven deal maker!

I mean, “yay” for positive thinking and all but acting like this is already over and she’s going to be Speaker again just hands the enemy, and they are the fucking enemy of America, motivation and momentum when they were sleeping a bit.

Since no crimes have been revealed or charged directly to The Asshole yet, running on impeachment would be ridiculous. When they are, that’s when it should be brought up, not before. Pelosi has that part right.

Many of the special election wins were based on local issues and had nothing to do with Тяцмр. Leave him out of it, let his idiot base simmer instead of boil. We don’t need them enthused.

They want this to be about impeachment and they want a bogeyman to run against. We should never give them what they want. Pelosi has hurt us with her statement.
