Apparently Rachal Maddow agrees with me. On her show tonight she just accused Trump and Cohen of using their Legal Account as a slush fund. I reported it first and obviously Rachal agrees. As I stated in my posts, I had heard early the morning of April 16, 2017 that Trump had reported his 3rd Qtr reporting Campaign Contributions and he had reported $280,000 in Legal Fees for the Stormie Daniels Case. I couldn't understand why he would be reporting Stormie Daniels fees in 3rd Qtr 2017 when she had said she was paid in 2016 prior to the election. He also reported paying $800,000 to in Legal Fees to anotherI said to myself that Trump must be using their Legal Account as a slush fund, and I was half joking half serious. But knowing Trump, I was 100% serious.

As an Accountant, I know that there are some accounts which receive a lot of scrutiny during an audit and some accounts which receive a lot less scrutiny. I figured that Legal Fees could very well be one those less scrutinized accounts because most companies have legal fees of some kind or another. So you expect to find legal fees of some sort. What I didn't expect to find was Stormie Daniels legal fees in the amount of $280,000 in 3rd Qtr 2017 when Daniels was supposedly paid $130,000 prior to the election in 2016. Where did the other $150,000 of fees go to? I thought maybe they are her attorney's fees since she did have an attorney; but then I thought most plaintiffs in a lawsuit pay their attorney's fees out of their settlement check. But I didn't rule it out that those might be her attorney's fees. He also showed $800,000 in legal fees to another Legal Firm. Again, I though that is a lot of Legal Fees for the 3rd Qtr and why so much in fees during an off election year? Accounting is all about things making sense, and the relationships between income and outgo.

But knowing what I do about Don the Con and the fact that he began fund raising right after the inauguration in 2017 and wasn't as 'rich' as he claimed to be, and knowing what a liar he is, I concluded that if it doesn't make sense, it probably is a lie. I then posted some comments stating that I thought Trump was using his Legal Account as his own personal slush fund and why. I got some feedback from others here at DU that I might be wrong, but I remained vigilant that it didn't make sense to me that Trump would be incurring so much in Legal Fees during the time of the year when there was no campaigning going on. And I concluded that the numbers being reported as Campaign Legal Fees were probably FAKE. And I continue to believe that to this day. And apparently Rachal Maddow has come to that same conclusion, but I was the first to say 'Trump is using his legal account as his own personal slush fund'.

He's such a con-man. I knew it was suspicious when he began fundraising for 2020 a month after the inauguration. He knows money raised by candidates belongs to the candidates. They can do what they want with any surplus they have after they have no plans to run again, ie. donate to other candidates or help other candidates retire their campaign debt. They can't spend it on themselves personally, but then he'll just lie as usual.

Gooliani has been sent out to among other things claim there is no campaign finance violations. Victoria Toensing was bloviating the same thing today. This tells me there is real fear that he will be found out.

How could anyone not believe his trolling for money is not going to serve him personally. He doesn't even give Secret Service a discount for the golf carts!

Yes - the 2020 re-election campaign is to troll for more money. His dog and pony show rallies are the justification.

probably the NYTimes, but it said that DT had paid Cohen a total of $460K - $470K, for Stormy and to "settle" other matters.

And Rudy G specifically said that Cohen wasn't doing any legal work for DT -- just using his retainer for this kind of stuff. So there goes attorney-client privilege!

How do you think Bill and Hillary Clinton are reacting to the daily scandals and lies?

I just heard Mika say,” Trump told them that Rudy falls 😴 and seems confused.” His actions on Fox showed he makes up things as he goes along. So does Trump.
