3. In the middle of Amish here in South Central Michigan

All around me. They do a bunch of roofing and carpentry around here. We are currently having an issue regarding their buggies and their refusal to obey laws here. They call it religious persecution. Lawmakers saying if they don't start using slow moving vehicle signs and lights. They are gonna pas laws for registration.

5. We had a Amish boom when I lived in southern illinois

They seem pretty respectful of the road laws. Still sometimes hard to see a black buggy with a slow sign while blasting down a country road. Definitely need flashing lights. Only thing I really saw wrong is the child labor. They work those kids doing carpentry jobs and you know they dont get paid squat. Of course some of the teens always walked down to my friends house and would ask for weed and alcohol all the time so at least they have some freedoms

But they all use the vans and have them full of kids. I see them and wonder how they could function with the black carts I've seen up north.

They live too far from stores to reasonably use the carts here anyway.
