This is what the networks showed as the slogan for First Lady Melania Trump's 'child betterment' campaign roll out today.
I know the U.S. Army probably already has copyrighted "Be All That You Can Be!"
But "Be Best"?
Not Be THE Best, or Be YOUR Best.
Just Be Best.
Awright! I'm ready.
I'm BEST!
See?
I'm bein' BEST!
Maybe this is a Slovenian saying?
Grandfather to grandson: "Be BEST!"
Grandson: "Yes, of course Grandfather. I will be BEST!"

(3,335 posts)didn't bother asking anyone; wanting to do this "her way". IMHO it sounds stupid and who knows, maybe no one wants to tell the FLOTUS that for fear of reprisal. Just like no one said anything about overkill with her Christmas decor last year to include live dancers.

The mission of BE BEST is to focus on some of the major issues facing children today, with the goal of encouraging children to BE BEST in their individual paths, while also teaching them the importance of social, emotional, and physical health. BE BEST will concentrate on three main pillars: well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse.
BE BEST will champion the many successful well-being programs that provide children with the tools and skills required for emotional, social, and physical health. The campaign will also promote established organizations, programs, and people who are helping children overcome some of the issues they face growing up in the modern world.

(5,914 posts)An official slogan based, essentially, on Melania's broken English?
Can we also have a national children's diet and nutrition initiative called "Eat Good"? Or an anti-opioid campaign called "You No Pop Pills"?

(5,914 posts)And we're in the "pit of man's fears" part rather than the "summit of his knowledge" part.
I have just been informed that we are also to believe that Melania has a college degree in design and architecture. Sure, she does.

(5,914 posts)That really does provide some context.
I am actually starting to think that Melania really looks up to Michelle Obama as her role model, and she is trying to do whatever she can to try to be like her.
