But one question. In an office that big, doesn't' the head person have plenty of deputies that have the requisite experience? An office like that has to try cases over the spectrum of criminal and civil crimes, doubtful (as a lay person) that one person would have expertise in all areas.

And a lot of crime. No, Schneiderman isn’t necessary to every criminal prosecution in that large and dynamic state.

I’m not buying the “I admit beating them up, but it was consensual” thing.

You know what? I don’t have a problem with whatever people want to consent to do, but with that much on the line, I would advise getting that consent in writing.

Also, getting something like that in writing could prove to be embarrassing for all involved if it fell into the wrong hand, even if zero relationship abuse happened.

Frankly, as a man, I don't know why men get themselves in these situations to begin with. Number 1, never hit a woman, even if she was "ok" with it, second, understand when relationship consent ends and back off.

Someone with that much to lose gets sober, clear, unambiguous, tangible, informed and still revocable consent.
