(4,875 posts)distracted culture, violence that gets white washed, guns get coddled while people are dying, etc.. Definitely takes more than one viewing to find all the subtleties. Great piece of art and necessary commentary about America.

(7,411 posts)Because I see pop culture statements like this and I'm unfazed since I assume everyone already knows these things. Not to detract from the reality of what Glover is saying but it's hard for me to see how it can be particularly revelatory to folks.
We're some twisted primates. No denying.
That's when I realize it seems old hat to me because I've been around for more than a half century, therefore I've learned and witnessed it over and over and over by now. So that makes me old.
