Is this REALLY happening??????

Raw Story reported:

The chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is calling for former Secretary of State John Kerry to be the very first person ever arrested under a constitutionally dubious 1799 law.

Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) made his demand to imprison the former Massachusetts Democrat under the Logan Act, which could theoretically result in three year in federal prison.

The allegations followed a new Boston Globe report on former Secretary of State Kerry working to save the Iran nuclear deal.

If so, we should be up in arms over this BULLSHIT.

Yes, it is. Nunes is barking for it. I do not expect Kerry to be arrested for it. . . . nt Bernardo de La Paz May 2018 #1

the real aim may be to start up another Benghazi-like distraction, especially if they can keep it going through midterms, which they probably can.

It appears Trump is asking those who can to stir up sh*t to draw attention from his problems. If anyone is going to follow Trump's orders, it's Nunes. He doesn't take enough time to investigate his threats to see if they have any substance.

I think he is seriously mentally compromised and is dangerous.

Why do they hate Kerry so much?

Honest, principled, intelligent, statesmanlike, diplomatic, honorable, brave, handsome, athletic - the list goes on. Worst of all, he is a liberal. They know that he is a superior human being to them in every way and they can't bear it.

That speech was written by Bolton to make Trump feel strong and war-like. Why hasn't someone told Trump (correct me if I'm wrong) that the money Obama returned to Iran was their money taken years ago and held. Maybe that fact was in the 2nd paragraph of the deal and we know Trump rarely reads beyond the 2nd sentence.

For some reason, I have a sick feeling in my stomach. His bullying is so 5th grade and I guess I resent the fact that I'm so far away, I can't shake some sense into him.

"On or about March 9, 2015, Cotton wrote and sent a letter to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, signed by 47 of the Senate's 54 Republicans, attempting to cast doubt on the Obama administration's authority to engage in nuclear-proliferation negotiations with Iran. The open letter was released in English as well as a poorly-translated Farsi version, which "read like a middle schooler wrote it", according to Foreign Policy. Within hours, commentators suggested that the letter prepared by Cotton constituted a violation of the Logan Act."
