I suspect Trump and Cohen thought "Oh, Sh!t! Now we're REALLY screwed" when Schneiderman resigned

I have little doubt that Trump, Cohen and their thugs were already well aware of Schneiderman’s -shall we say - predilections. Those kind of things rarely operate completely in the dark, especially when they involve a high profile political person. They may have been waiting to spring them at just the perfect time - either on hm as blackmail to get him to lay off or on the public to humiliate and discredit him if he refused.

But Ronan Farrow, Jane Mayer and the women got the jump on them, put it out there, got him out of there at a fairly early point in the investigation. The case can continue to move forward under new, unsullied leadership and there’s not much Trump and his people can say without looking like ridiculous hypocrites (although that doesn’t usually stop them ...). And now all those transcripts and tapes and photos and statements they surely were compiling can just go into the trash, unused.

I tend to usually be a political optimist, so maybe I’m drinking from a half-full glass, but I think this will turn out to be a win for the good guys.

California, Virginia just to name a few...

There's a lot of places he's got properties - a golf course here, a hotel there...and of course, his son in law's business, along with al the real estate deals made by fellow travelers through his (ahem) "Lawyer" that look suspiciously like money laundering schemes.

Something that popped into my head today too, though I couldnt put the logistics of it together, except that trump is a dirt collector and is from NY. He most likely had his radar on this.
Maybe he was giving Schneiderman subtle threats.

Anyone who is being considered for permanent NY AG should go through a fbi like grilling to see if they are blackmailable or have any skeletons in their closet! This position is too important.

With the stakes so high in the New York case, someone must have been investigating Schneiderman. Especially if there are more than just the four women who have spoken out so far.

Your brain is better than mine. I just went immediately to "oh, crap."

Weiner is gone, Spitzer is gone - next will be lightweight A.G. Eric Schneiderman. Is he a crook? Wait and see, worse than Spitzer or Weiner

Tweeted 11 Sep 2013

On the other hand, what Schneiderman allegedly did doesn't make him a "crook", so Trump could have been blowing hot air (or not have known what "crook" means).

Regardless of what the actual outcome of all this may be, Trump will take this as validation and tweet it as proof he is the good guy.

1) They in fact do operate in the dark and most of the time

2) I don't believe that they knew of Schneiderman's 'predilections' because they are incapable of holding back on anything. They don't keep their arrows for a better shot they use their arrows, then throw the quiver and the bow and if they find any flints that are going for the arrow head will start heaving them in the direction of the coming army, which can barely be seen 5 miles away.

in order for him to not act he would have to have some degree of discretion. He doesn't have it. He would have been spouting to everyone the first time he heard it, in my opinion, could be wrong.

There was celebration yesterday

But the truth remains that no matter who heads the AG, the files are there and the investigation will be pursued.
