When the president pulls us out of a treaty like Trump is doing on JCPOA, our allies learn that our word is not to be trusted. Trump's mercurial changes in attitude make the country weaker and less respected in the community of nations. It will be years before the U.S. is trusted like it was in 2008.

Doesn't say a thing though about the Senate's role in pulling out of treaty agreements. In Goldwater v. Carter the Supreme Court said the President didn't need the Senate's OK to do that.
