General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsConservative artist Jon McNaugton's paintings are getting progressively weirder and weirder.
(The following are all real. McNaugton actually painted these. I'm not making any of these up. Well, the paintings themselves, at least. No comment on the titles.)
Here's his most recent painting, which apparently is titled "Donald Trump, A Man Who Mistakes a Former FBI Director for an Ant Who He Can Burn With a Magnifying Glass":
This follows up his previous work, "Donald Trump Wandering Onto the 50 Yard Line of the New Orleans Superdome Clutching His Favorite American Flag Blankie After Having a Particularly Bad Nightmare":
And that was of course a follow up work to this painting, aptly named "A Live Look Into Andrew Breitbart As He Currently Burns In Hell":

(59,574 posts)There are days I'm convinced that this "artist" is nothing less than the greatest troll in the history of the species.
Just wish he had a bit more socialist-realist sheen to his work.

(1,474 posts)What a weird "artist" but I am pretty sure he's what Utah gentiles would call a Mo-Mo (I can say that b/c I sacrificed my childhood innocence to that cult), so that prolly makes sense.

(22,976 posts)Here, in this insipid, unintentionally comic scene, 45 teaches a young socialist (note his book titles) to fish. Not sure is one of 45's actual skills, but hell, since the deplorables thinks he walks on water, why not have him stand in for Jesus now and then?

(22,976 posts)The "imagery" is absolute amateur shit. It's no better than schlock that depicts a matador-on-black-velvet, or a New England barn in winter, or even a fluffy kitten in a stocking.
For laughs, though, you can't top it.

(17,984 posts)Maybe in the meadow behind them? Must be going after something really big by the look of that rod. This should be titled "The Day I Ditched Socialism 101 to Go Marlin Fishing in the Park with the Rump, and the Rump Suggested I Use A 4/0 Streamer, But I Couldn't Find One in My Tackle Box".

(61,538 posts)The guy is very consistent. His paintings are hyper-romantic fantasies showing white men rescuing America. In essence, white males equal America equal Jesus in this mythology.
It's the white man's burden. Note that people of color are shown standing in awe and gratitude as the powerful, kind white men rescue the children.

(22,976 posts)More than any words can, these images reveal what goes on in the "mind" of a blind fascist, what makes them flush with false pride.
Are they simplistic, mawkish, embarrassing, and maddening at the same time? OF COURSE, they're overtly white nationalistic fascist pieces of crap. Which is EXACTLY why they need to be seen.
Look away or trash the thread if they feel too offensive. But know there is value in understanding the enemy's weaknesses. And these images are a blueprint to the sickness we're up against.
