...what idyllic time in recent history would you point to as "the stable time" in the Middle East?

If current events terrify you, I can't imagine what the all out Israeli-Arab wars, the Israeli occupation of Lebanon, the Iran-Iraq wars, the US Gulf Wars or the emergency of an ISIS caliphate did to you...

The US pulling out of the Iran nuclear accord is a massive mistake, but it certainly doesn't send us back to a time that was more dangerous than before the accord.

The Gulf Wars did a real number on me though...particularly round two and "shock and awe".

Never been stable there though. You're right about that.

I've been terrified since this presidency began! Whether it's NK or the Middle East, or anyplace in between, our wild card president and his posse surely don't exude any confidence in me. Quite the opposite.

I avoid the news as well, but will ask my friend "has he killed anyone today?", and her response is always "not yet".....

I've lived 66 years on this earth and have never had so many days with a pit in my stomach as I have the past 28 (?) months....has it only been that long?

Funny, but not....my primary physician told me his request for anti-anxiety meds has tripled since IQ45 took office.

The poster above is right, the Middle East has been an issue forever and there is no easy answer. Us alienating ourselves from our allies is what keeps me from sleeping....

Only advice I can give is.....breathe!

Zoloft over here.

And I'm sure your doc is telling the truth.
