OK, this is getting ridiculous and where's the outrage? Under Obama, conservaturds all over the country were making a big deal about them and scored big political points. What the hell is going on that we are not making a big deal out if this! Our side needs to start hammering that into the consciousness of America. Trump's economy sucks, and we need to make people feel it. It's $2.80 around here, while it was $1.80 at the end of Obama's presidency. F'n ridiculous!
To all conservaturds out there: How are these gas prices working for you?

(11,884 posts)Did he sell weapons to Saudi , then offer protections from his opponents for them to curb production to increase oil prices for Putin? Sure looks like it. An Organized corrupt criminal family running this out of the White House? No wonder he wants this investigation shut down, and is refusing to talk to Mueller while claiming the opposite. All lies from these criminals in office, including the corrupted Republicans that all should be voted out of office for siding with Putin for rump. Innocent people don't act this way, only criminals do.

Consider that 50% of Americans make less than $30,000 per year.

(5,737 posts)It isn't that there are not enough wells being drilled here in the US, it is the fact that we are actually producing more here in the US can we can use. Oil prices are set on the international open market, regardless of where it is produced or refined. We will be paying much more in the next couple of months.
Unless people forget, in 2008 as the financial markets were collapsing, what pushed it over the edge in such dramatic fashion was world world energy costs. Those costs doubled in about two months and the economies of the world came to a screeching halt.

(16,950 posts)about .30 / gallon. It was low 3.00/gal just a week or so ago. Yesterday it was over 3.30. More increases to come apparently. We are all trapped in Trump's reality show.

(3,573 posts)I'm in a college town in the Midwest--a small town with a big university. Gas is around $2.99 here right now. In the state's largest city, just an hour away, gas is consistently 25 cents cheaper, which both mystifies me and burns me up.

(11,867 posts)If one truly believes that whomever is president is responsible for the price of gas ( I don't) and think the recent rise in prices can be blamed on Trump, how does one explain 2014 when they were significantly higher?
