Worst mass shooting in 22 years in Australia, 7 dead, here's a question -- no googling/research:

How many DAYS since the most recent equivalent-sized shooting in the US?

How long has it been since there's been a 7-victim shooting in the USA?

I've done some cursory research and it ain't 22 goddamned years. It isn't even 22 DAYS (18 days, Waffle House, Antioch, Tennessee) if you don't differentiate between killed and wounded/maimed. If you insist on only tabulating deaths, it is still only 12 WEEKS (MSD HS, Parkland, Florida).

If you add up the number of people senselessly murdered since 1980, it's got to be at least 3 million people killed by guns. That's both intentional and accidental. That's not even including the number of people injured or maimed by guns. And the group that should be doing something about it is only making the situation worse.
