Reports dropped on Thursday night that President Donald Trump had humiliated his own Department of Homeland Security chief Kirstjen Nielsen at a recent cabinet meeting, which prompted her to consider resigning.
According to the New York Times Maggie Haberman, Trumps dispute with Nielsen isnt just about policy rather, its part of a broader paranoid delusion about where his own DHS chiefs loyalties truly lie.
Habermans tweet came in response to a tweet by fellow New York Times reporter Julie Davis, who explained that Nielsens resignation threat had been a long time in coming because Nielsen and Trump have clashed often and she has been a frequent target of his freewheeling immigration rants.
According to the New York Times report, Trump has been angry that Nielsen has been resisting his direction that parents be separated from their children when families cross illegally into the United States.

(11,804 posts)employees are doing. Smart and capable managers focus on supporting their employees and trusting them to have the expertise necessary to accomplish their jobs. Dumb ones have a sense that they aren't really capable of understanding everything that happens underneath them and get frustrated and resentful. The truth is that nobody can manage large groups of people successfully without on some level trusting those people underneath them.
I guess one can decide for themselves whether Trump is a good manager/leader (but I don't think he is).
