Who is Kelly Sadler? Trump assistant who allegedly mocked John McCain's cancer revealed
Senator John McCain’s wife, Cindy McCain, has fired back at White House aide Kelly Sadler. who allegedly mocked the Arizona Republican’s battle with brain cancer after he revealed he opposed the nomination of Gina Haspel for CIA director.
Taking to Twitter, Cindy McCain delivered a stern message to Sadler, who had allegedly said that John McCain’s opinion did not matter because "he’s dying anyway" and reminded the Trump administration aide that McCain "has a family, 7 children and 5 grandchildren."
The White House has neither confirmed nor denied the allegations and there have been no tweets from the U.S. president on the matter, yet.
According to Sadler’s LinkedIn page, she completed a BA in Chinese and International Relations at Hamilton College, New York before getting a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern.
Sadler worked at Kaiser Associates and Bloomberg before becoming an editor and reporter for The Washington Times. She worked on a 2016 U.S. Election campaign blog called "Trail Tales" and wrote other articles that were positive about Trump’s presidency, as reported in Newsweek.
She is married to Frank Sadler, who served as businesswoman Carly Fiorina’s campaign manager during her attempt to become the Republican candidate for U.S. president in 2016.
Sadler has worked for the White House since May 2017 under the role of Special Assistant To The President and focuses on illegal immigration.
According to The Hill, The White House has not denied the account of Sadler’s remarks at a meeting: "We respect Senator McCain’s service to our nation and he and his family are in our prayers during this difficult time," the White House said in a statement to the publication.
