And SLAMS Hillary and the Democratic party in the process
When Hillary Clinton used the word deplorable that had a significant effect on so many people. They basically said We understand that Donald Trump is not a nice guy, but he is one of us. He said Yes, I know Im a billionaire, but Im like your weird uncle. Im not politically correct and Im not judging you and thats the key.

Judging by the lack of enormous outporing & support in the last election held, Vt isn't impressed either.

Involves a lot of players and moving parts.
Very intricately designed for one outcome.

(10,147 posts)Edit: Sorry, he's running for congress in a New Hampshire district where he doesn't reside or work. And he is of course attacking Hillary and the Democratic Party. Since Jr is so sympathetic to Trump voters maybe he ought to help the Republicans instead.

(4,935 posts)to run in a district where you don't live or work? Sounds like a carpetbagger.

(145,218 posts)My son knew and attended a summer school seminar with the guy who ran for the GA 8 and lost. Not living in the district hurt. The son of a good friend tried the same thing for Tx CD 7 and came in 4th. This is usually not a good move but can be done.

(58,785 posts)pull the intractable dissidents who've remained loyal to his father, and we know how that came out.
It must be uncomfortable being the barely middle class son of a U.S. senator, but, curious, I read everything I could find on him long ago, and he's emphatically just not U.S. senate material. He seems well suited to his work as a benefits analyst/clerk/counselor, in which role he performs (I assume) helpful, honorable services to people who need help and can afford to hire professional assistance.
I wouldn't have commented on this if he wasn't badmouthing Hillary to appeal to that sort. That does not deserve respect.

(55,445 posts)a goddamn fringe nutbar with a fat archive of really controversial and inflammatory tweets that will sink him in any legit race... And the only reason he gets *ANY* pub is because of his last name and because he's always happy to kick the political corpse of Hillary Clinton, which the media inexplicably still refuses to let go...
One of these days Sanders the elder or Sanders the younger will be interviewed and all the choice quotes will be of them railing against the motherfucking GOP (Remember them? The bad guys?) and it will be glorious...
