3. It's really impressive, in an awful way, that incompetence can rise to the level of evil.

One usually equates incompetence with bumbling, almost comical behavior, don't they? How is it that these miscreants manage to create so f'ing much awful when they don't even try?

OH...sometimes, they DO try, and are quite effective. Then, evil abounds.

when he worked for McCain / Palin .... trump turds don't listen to him. I am happy he puts his Country over party, too late. I will never trust all of these former enablers of folks that said President Obama was not an American citizen.

5. He is far more than a Palin enabler

He was a loyal Bush strategist and a Cheney and Rove acolyte.

Schmidt joined the Bush administration as a Deputy Assistant to the President and Counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney. In 2004, he was a member of the senior strategic planning group, led by White House adviser Karl Rove, that ran President George W. Bush's re-election campaign; Schmidt oversaw the reelection "war room".[13] In 2005 and 2006, he was the White House strategist responsible for the U.S. Supreme Court nominations of Samuel Alito[19] and Chief Justice John Roberts

These are dark times. Anyone who is against Trump is an ally. I didn't say friend... but, ally. There's a difference.

And Schmidt hated Palin. Read "Game Change."

9. I take exception to the word "hate"

You don’t work your ass off to make someone successful that you “hate”.
You don’t say, even two years after the election:

I believe, had she not been on the ticket, our margin of defeat would've been greater than it would've been otherwise," Schmidt said

I would argue that people like Schmidt don’t really have a problem with what trump says or does (for crying out loud he used to work under Cheney and Rove and never had a problem with them) but with the fact he says it out loud and rubs it in people’s faces.

I would find much more value in supporting DEMOCRATS in office working to undermine this administration and to speak out against it publicly because right now it’s too few and not nearly forcefully enough.

Schmidt spent his entire career as a RWNJ, a Rove acolyte, the man that brought us Roberts and Alito, and you don’t shed that skin.

As I just wrote, I would argue that it not what trump is saying or doing, it’s the way he is doing it, the loud and obnoxious manner that defines trump.
Even worse is that trump is not a republican insider. He didn’t come up through the ranks and earned it.

14. Are any of the people who say "never trust a Republican" even when they support us now

Bernie supporters?

One of my gripes with Bernie was he would not have gotten half as far as he did as an independent. By allowing him to run as a Democrat we gave him a platform. And he left the party as soon as the election was over.

You allowed him as an outsider but constantly bitch about Schmidt? Some people get their politics from their family and their church and it is hard for them to see our side. I appreciate those, like Schmidt and Wallace, who now do see our side. After Bernie, however, I'll not trust them for a long time.
