My "WTF?" of the day, "To hell with the videos" edition...
Seems those police body-cams are showing police being honest and polite, so a local NAACP won't even look at the videos but take the word of a liar.

A South Carolina NAACP leader is under attack after a local black activist asked to look at a body cam footage of a police stop that occurred in April that local civil rights leader described as a case of racial profiling.
According to WPDE, Timmonsville NAACP President, the Rev. Jerrod Moultrie, wrote a post on Facebook back on April 13 accusing a local cop of pulling him over because he is black.
“Tonight, I was racially profiled by Timmonsville Officer CAUSE I WAS DRIVING A MERCEDES BENZ AND GOING HOME IN A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD,” Moultrie wrote. He then went on to describe the conversation he had with the officer, describing him as abusive and saying the white officer told him, “I am doing you a favor tonight not taking you to jail or writing you a ticket.”
Upset that racial profiling was going on in his community, activist Timothy Waters went to the Timmonsville Police Department and asked to take a look at the officer’s dash and body cam video.
What he saw was something totally at odds with Moultrie’s accusations, with the officer being respectful and polite.“Once I got a copy of that body cam, it’s as if he made the whole story up. And I felt like he set us back 100 years, because think about all of the racial profiling cases (that) are true,” said Waters.
According to Timmonsville Police Chief Billy Brown, Moultrie contacted him after the encounter and complained about the stop.
“He made a comment that the officer accused him of having drugs in the car. He said that his wife and grandchild was in the car. He asked them not to move because the officer looked as if he might shoot them or something. He also made mention that the officer continued to ask him about his neighborhood. Why was he in that neighborhood? And threaten(ed) to put him in jail in reference to something dealing with the registration to the vehicle,” said Brown.
Brown said the videos contradicted the tale and the investigation was dropped.
As for activist Waters, he asked the local NAACP officials to rebuke Moultrie, but they refused saying they would not look at the videos and instead take the local president at his word.
