Tale from my day working for Dems in SC PA today, and even my GOP "buds" there, makes me hopeful...

After working the same polling place since first handing out leaflets for Bill and in the 20 something years since, you get to know lots of people. Especially in a small town like Shrewsbury, PA which is in the mist of quick growth from people who work in Baltimore because we are right over the state line from Baltimore Co.

You hear about problems with the roads all the time. And how much better the roads are in MD and then you cross the line into PA on I-83 and it's full of potholes. Everytime, the GOP peeps blamed PA Dem Gov. Wolf and everytime they tried I reminded them that we are represented by all local and fed GOP reps here and they are all too lame to do what we taxpayers deserve for all our money. Then 3 of 4 of my GOP buds shake their heads in agreement and disappointment in the GOP.

Then one of my ole GOP bro starts his usual "we need to get back to traditional values" sermon and I add that "and then you got Stormy Daniels, huh?" and of course everyone, four GOP workers and one Dem (me) crack up laughing and I said, "there is nothing "traditional" about that. And then the GOP sermon preacher loudly replied, in front of his 3 GOP bros, "I agree 100% on that."

At that point they all looked disappointed in their party.

During the time I was there I was really pushing for them to vote for my guy, Fetterman, for Lt. Gov in November. When I was leaving one of the ole bros stopped me to say he really likes Fetterman, and planned to vote for him in Nov if he wins tonight!

Don't ever forget; it's about one voter at time! Go Dems!!!!!!

I bought my wife an engagement ring from a small family jewelry store in Shrewsbury 18 years ago. Loved the small town feel back then. As you mentioned Shrewsbury has changed in the last 20 years with real estate being so expensive in the DC area.

I had them fix my wife's engagement ring! They were in a different spot back then.

Democrats are fired up..we never had this much participation until Bernie Sanders ran in the primary. The newbies have remained active and meetings have twice the attendance they used to. We’ll have Democrats running for every seat..never happened before.

Congratulations to the winners
