Giuliani ‘Shocked’ By Alleged FBI ‘Spy’ on Trump Campaign: We Could ‘Challenge the Legitimacy of the Entire Investigation’

Fox & Friends interviewed Rudy Giuliani on Thursday, and the Trump lawyer reiterated his belief there could have been a spy in President Donald Trump‘s campaign, a claim he made on Fox News Wednesday night.

The New York Times‘ extensive report on the FBI investigation into Trump’s campaign contained a revelation:

The F.B.I. obtained phone records and other documents using national security letters — a secret type of subpoena — officials said. And at least one government informant met several times with Mr. Page and Mr. Papadopoulos, current and former officials said. That has become a politically contentious point, with Mr. Trump’s allies questioning whether the F.B.I. was spying on the Trump campaign or trying to entrap campaign officials.

For Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy, that’s an indication Trump was framed: “It sounds like the New York Times is confirming that the FBI essentially spied on the Trump campaign… Which would suggest they were out to frame him.”

“I think we’re going to have to look into whether we can challenge the legitimacy of this entire investigation,” Giuliani said. “Maybe the special counsel never should have been appointed.”

“I’m shocked to hear that they put a spy in the campaign of a major party candidate, or maybe two spies” he continued. “Now I’m going through my brain — since you know I was a big part of that campaign — trying to figure out who was the spy. Now I’m wondering was it this person or that person or this person.”

The campaign had an informant for the same reason the WH has leakers: decent minded people know that they are dealing with a bunch of crooked rats and fools that need to be exposed
