Washington insiders 'betting' Sarah Huckabee Sanders is about to get bounced from the White House

On MSNBC’s Hardball, Karni revealed that many members of Trump’s communications team are worried “the axe may be coming for them” following the leak of a repulsive joke about “dying” John McCain’s opinion on torture not mattering. Already, the White House has scrapped its regular staff meetings over fears that the contents will be leaked.

Now, “word on the street” is that Huckabee Sanders will be jettisoned right around her one-year anniversary in the job, which is July.

“The betting game in Washington is, ‘How long will Sarah Sanders last? Will she push on past her one year mark in the job, which is in July,'” Karni said.

Of course she is bad at her job.

1) She wasn't selected for her qualifications or experience in the first place.
2) She was promoted because the guy above her got canned, not b/c she deserved a promotion.
3) She is given a pile of ever-shifting crap daily by her boss and told to make coherent mouth noises with it -- it's a fools errand for anyone, b/c even if she gets through the day w/ dignity intact, expect to have to do a 180 on something tomorrow.
4) She has chosen to treat the press corps with hostility and contempt, so of course they will be adversarial in response.

I suspect that Trump hates these "White House in chaos, look how incompetent Trump is" stories more than he dislikes the job she's doing, and she'll make the 1 year mark. As if that milestone magically means she wasn't a bad hire who did a bad job even given the bad situation.

There are a lot of much more effective communicators, and press wranglers, out there than SHS. And some are Repubs. And some would kill to be WH Press Sec. But not for toxic Trump. His hires are sh*t because non-sh*tty people generally don't want to have anything to do with him.
