Report: Trump Wants FBI ‘Mole’ in Russia Probe Outed
Kevin Lamarque/Reuters

President Trump has reportedly joined his Republican allies in pushing the Justice Department to release highly classified documents that would identify a top-secret FBI informant he claims illegally spied on his campaign. After Trump on Thursday accused the “Obama FBI” of planting a mole in his campaign in a scandal that he claims is “bigger than Watergate,” his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said the president has joined House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) in calling for the release of classified documents on the Russia investigation that would include details about the confidential FBI source, according to The Washington Post. Justice Department officials have warned that the release of such information could put lives at risk. “The prior government did it, but the present government, for some reason I can’t figure out, is covering it up,” Giuliani told The Washington Post, adding that the FBI’s use of an informant could make Mueller’s probe “completely illegitimate.” Both The Washington Post and The New York Times reported earlier this week that a longtime FBI informant provided information to investigators early on in the probe about Trump’s ties to Russia, though no further details were available on that person’s role

Giuliani told The Washington Post, adding that the FBI’s use of an informant
could make Mueller’s probe “completely illegitimate.” Go tell that to
all those people sitting in jail who had undercover police/law enforcement
work used to build a case against them.

BTW if Trump and company weren't breaking the law then they should have
no problem w/the FBI.

We have gone from:

Never met w/the Russians

Met w/the Russians but never talked about the elections

Met w/the Russians and we talked about the election but the Russians didn't do anything in the elections.

Met w/the Russians and we talked about the elections and the Russians did try to interfere in the
the elections but it didn't effect the outcome of the elections.

only one more step

Met w/the Russians and they worked with people inside of America to rig the elections.

6. The "mole" -is that someone that Mueller investigators interviewed in course of their investigation?

If so, it's a lie to characterize him/her as an illegal spy. The investigators interview people in the course of their investigation. That's different from, say, Obama recruiting someone to "spy" on a candidate, or hiring someone to spy on Trump.

What could an FBI person know about Trump that's not in the FBI files, unless he knows Trump personally?

I don't know what they're talking about. More spin & lies, I presume.

I'll bet somebody witnessed some part of the fraud, conspiracy, international money laundering, and espionage going on in that campaign and reported it to appropriate law enforcement

No mole. Patriotic American
