Growing up in the 50s and 60s this is a comment I would frequently hear from my father and his friends and other adults.
As I got older I fully understood how wrong it was and just what they meant to accomplish by saying it. It was no accident or misunderstanding. They knew full well what they were saying.
Same with Trump. He knows what he said and what he meant. He owns it. The attempt by him and his administration to once again lie their way out of responsibility is ugly, ugly, ugly.
Over the past two years I have heard racist comments that I haven't heard for 50 to 60 years. It is sickening. Any one who thinks that this kind of language is OK is sorely ignorant.
Just wanted to rant.

No wonder overall tourism is down . Who wants to come here for a visit when the POTUS speaks so grossly about others?
