Giuliani: Trump could be 'walking into a trap' with Mueller interview

BY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 05/20/18 10:45 AM EDT

President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said that Trump could be “walking into a trap” by interviewing with special counsel Robert Mueller if he’s not given more details about a FBI informant who reportedly met with Trump campaign aides.

Giuliani told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Sunday that Trump’s team would need more information about the informant and whether the individual had any “incriminating information” on Trump associates.

“What we intend to do is premise it on, ‘If you want an interview, we need an answer to this,’” Giuliani told the newspaper.

The Washington Post reported Friday that a FBI informant had met with Trump campaign co-chair Sam Clovis, in addition to advisers George Papadopoulos and Carter Page.

All the evidence they have on that person so that person can use it to prepare to be questioned?

This argument is the equivalent of using a bull horn to call the president a liar. Which, of course, he is, and has been normalized. It's pathetic.

I wonder if we can gauge the relative honesty and integrity of all involved, and draw a conclusion about who's telling the truth?

with a wink and a hand shake. I think cheetolini's missing a good opportunity to show Mueller who's the boss. Please, please go. Take Giuliani with you. Two bright guys like that ought to have Mueller eating right out of their hands.

Wasn't it Giuliani who said a president wasn't immune to a subpoena? Of course, that's when Clinton was president, and as we all know, It's Different If You're A Republican.

if The Ghoul worked this hard to obstruct justice, protect and defend the Drumpf criminal enterprise back in the day when he could have busted them in NYC. I find it hard to believe he didn't know some shady stuff was going on in Drumpfworld back when he was investigating and prosecuting the mob in NY.

It's possible that Mueller found some old records implicating The Ghoul in the Cohen raid which could lead to an even wider investigation. That may be part of the reason why Drumpfworld seems to be getting more desperate to undermine the probe. Of course there could also be statutes of limitations involved in the old stuff.

And if you don’t, you probably should be “trapped” and removed from society. A nice, long stay at the Crowbar Hotel would be a just reward.
