(1,923 posts)At ranges less then 25-30 yards. The standard 12ga 00 buckshot use pellets that are just under the diameter of a 9mm bullet, and each shell holds 8-9 of them. The number isn't surprising.

That included declining to answer questions over whether police gunfire may have struck any students during a drawn-out firefight with the 17-year-old suspected gunman.

And it hasn't bee confirmed that anyone has been hit by a police bullet, so that baseless speculation is not helpful at the moment.
