Trump: Devin Nunes is a 'courageous man'

President Donald Trump on Monday praised House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) as a “courageous man.”

At the swearing-in ceremony for CIA Director Gina Haspel, Trump made a point of recognizing the chairmen of the House and Senate intelligence committees.

“Thank you for being here to Chairman and Senator Richard Burr (R-NC),” Trump said. “And a very courageous man — he’s courageous — Congressman Devin Nunes. Thank you very much, Devin, for being here.”

Nunes has come under fire for allegedly undermining the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election.
