My interest in politics is not centered on the politicians.

It is centered on what is best for the future of our country, creating a society where everyone is treated with fairness and dignity and have a quality of life.

I supported Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic Primary and voted for Hillary in the general. In ways Bernie has been successful. Most of the dem politicians who seem to be in the running for president, support raising the minimum wage to 15$ per hour, single payer heath care, and financing their campaigns without corporate money.

If someone of good character emerges to take over the mantle as the leading progressive candidate, that's ok with me. In my opinion, the candidates should not be treated like rock stars , but potential leaders with the possibility to be conduits for change.
