Rosenstein is Playing Trump Because He Knows How This Will End: Tuesday's Good News

Did you notice trump has been completely losing his mind, freaking out over twitter, and just generally panicking? I am guessing you did.

Roger Stone is going to be indicted (and likely soon). All the dirty deeds done with Michael Cohen are going to come out. More illegal activities involving Jr. came to light.

And that is above and beyond all the damning info there is already re: Russia/Trump team conspiracy. There were 75+ CONTACTS WITH RUSSIA-LINKED OPERATIVES that we know about. And there is already a great deal of evidence of conspiracy.

It is no wonder he is completely losing his mind about this investigation. It is not going to end well for him.

His only defense is the defense of the truly and wholly f-ed “I was set up. The cops are the crooks!” And he is using that defense.

create a circus environment and accuse the cops of breaking the law because they were on a witch hunt.

sounds like the oj defense.

fortunately, the public eventually seems to have come to accept that oj did it.

unfortunately, oj escaped punishment, at least criminal punishment for those brutal killings.

it remains to be seen if donnie will escape.

arguably creating reasonable doubt that he might have planted evidence.

but there's never been any evidence to point to him actually doing that, afaik.

it's also not clear to my mind that oj shouldn't have been convicted anyway, even if everything related to fuhrman had been thrown out. not clear to me at this point (i forget, much of the details, thankfully) if he really could have planted all the evidence against oj.

aside from which, people have been convicted without any physical evidence, the history of violence and specific threats alone is pretty damning.

anyway, yeah, donnie doesn't have a fuhrman, unless mueller or someone on his team screws up royally. they're already trying to find someone on that team to smear, look at what they already did over an innocent email exchange.

then again, oj didn't have a republican majority in the senate behind him and perhaps a 5-4 majority in the supreme court in his corner as well....

... corruption is overwhelming and mounting daily. But I am becoming concerned that we live in a post-justice world now - at least politically.

We keep measuring Trump’s fuckery by traditional standards of decency, justice and fair play. But all of that depends heavily upon the power structure being decent, caring about justice, and being willing to play fair. It’s becoming pretty clear that those in charge of the government lack those sentiments.

Nixon resigned, but really escaped serious consequences. Reagan and Bush I were awful presidents for most Americans and were involved in plenty of dark shit, but they have been declared saints (especially Ronnie). Then there was the Bush II crime wave with scarcely a repercussion to be felt.

Is it really any wonder that Trump and his cabal believe they can be openly corrupt without getting run out on a rail? There are 24/7 news outlets on tv and radio giving them cover, a complicit congress and national party being paid off by hostile foreign interests, an army of on line bots and trolls playing Americans like fiddles, and a solid 25% of the American public who will faithfully and eagerly vote for anyone who whistles to the dogs about PoC. Imagine what Fox News and Limbaugh would have done to disrupt the Watergate Investigation? It is a very different world now.

I’m not going all Pvt Hudson, screaming “game over, man”, and getting out the vote in the upcoming mid-terms should be our number 1 priority. But our republic has become a very sick democracy, and the recovery - if there is one - will take a lot longer than our instant gratification desires will like. And it’s going to be messy. Very, very messy.

that if Fox News was around during Watergate, it likely would have meant Nixon avoiding impeachment.

... I said that very thing to a republican (kids play ball together) last year, and his response was “that would have been good. Nixon was a good president and he was unfairly run out of office”. I jut shook my head. Can’t argue with that level of stupid.

I'm just now watching my recording. The NYC newspaper reporter on early in the program was great. I felt like I was home again hearing him speak about the mob. How even the most hardened Mafia guys would sing when they were indicted on crimes. They took singing lessons to prepare their testimony.

So I figure that Stone is just a jelly doughnut compared to those made mobsters. When squeezed he'll ooze the goods faster than you can say Al Pacino.

who after 13 years of not knowing if he was alive or not I got the call he was coming to live with me. Yay me Anyway, he was just getting out of jail. He was caught going to work for his night shift. He was driving the wrong way on a roundabout (hey, nobody else was around jesus the guy really needed to fill out a ticket) and when the cop went to the door he was sitting there with a half full cold beer in the front and a joint in his mouth. What could have possibly been the problem? That was 10 years ago, he is homeless again living in his car but he is getting ready to go back to Texas to find that cop and ruin his life like the cop ruined his. You cannot convince these guys, whether it is drugs and alcohol or simply a toxic narcissist it will never be their fault and they will take down everyone around them to try to prove that.
