Roger Stone may turn over electronic documents in printed form just to spite Mueller's team

.

Dickhead thinks he's cute... There are ways around that.

Roger Stone may print out all the electronic documents sought by special counsel Robert Mueller, even if they fill two semi-trailers.

Investigators are zeroing in on the longtime associate of President Donald Trump as they investigate Russian election interference, but Stone says he won’t take an indictment lying down, reported NPR.
.
.
“I will give them the documents that they have requested, even though the request is onerous,” Stone said. “Just to be clear, the documents that they requested from me will fill two trailer trucks if printed out, and I know that there is no legal obligation to supply them in an electronic form. So I may give them to the Senate committees in hard copy.”

That's OK, there's either a 3 or 2-step process to get them into a searchable format.

1) Scan them in as a PDF or JPG.

2) Use BlueFox Free PDF to JPG Converter (if a PDF image, and not searchable PDFs).

3) Use FreeOCR to turn the JPG into a TXT format that can be pasted into a Word Document.

But, the government has all kinds of document OCR scanning tools, that's how the Library of Congress goes digital.

The judge can easily insist they turn them over in digital format, at the least in .pdf or similar image based form.

converting a PDF document into a JPG file does not make it searchable.

Option 3 appears to be the viable solution. It's been about 20 years since I used OCR to convert files to a searchable format. I hope that the technology has improved since it was only around 95% accurate back then.

.

Now, if you want to spend money, there are PDF OCR tools, but the problem is that some people try to thwart searching PDF files by scanning images into a PDF. So, while it is still a PDF file you cannot select on any of the words. That's where the BlueFox tool comes in handy, it doesn't care if it's a Text PDF or an Image PDF, it will take either and create a JPG file for import into the OCR tools.

FreeOCR will also create a Word document directly, but I like to do it the manual cut and paste way.

I work in the document management side of IT, it's pretty cool what can be done nowadays. And I'm sure Mueller's team has all the tools they would need.

20 years ago, I had to go through a converted document by hand to take out all the errors. Now it's nearly perfect, errors, if any, are mostly in formatting.

... and piss off the FBI and the American Intelligence apparatus. Most of them already believe YOU ARE A TRAITOR.

And by the way, the cost of printing all of the documents and then transporting them to the FBI WILL BE BORNE BY YOU.

Go ahead, make their day.

With the automatic document feeder I can scan, OCR, and save hardcopy documents to PDF pretty quickly. Mine can only handle about 25 pages at a time, but I am sure there are machines that can handle reams of paper at once. Mine also can scan both sides of the page should Stone decide to do the environment a favor and print on both sides!

Here is what Mueller needs if Stone does deliver hardcopies of his stuff:
