email to my congressman

Bradley Byrne, R-AL 1st Dist.

We took an oath.

Dear Brad,

You and I took virtually the same oath.
I took it in 1963 when I raised my right hand and was sworn in as a Second Lieutenant in the Alabama Air National Guard.
You took it as a U.S. congressman.

You swore: I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

My oath went a bit farther: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

If you don’t see that this president is in distinct violation of our constitution, then you’re not nearly as smart as I think you are.
No president should undermine and denigrate the Department of Justice and the FBI, period.
What this one is doing is blatantly transparent.

You must know that this will not end well.
It’s time for you to be on the right side of history.
You owe it to yourself and you owe it to us in the 1st District.

He never answers any of my emails.
He knows he's secure in his office and doesn't have to pay attention to the likes of me.
