so if Muellers report identifies crimes committed by trump

..before and during his presidency and if hes impeached or quits or whatever, can he be charged as a private citizen with the crimes? Would crimes before presidency be treated diff than crimes committed as prez?

Part of a possible Trump resignation deal would be the waiving of any post-presidential prosecutions.

Doesn't mean it will happen, but it could.

...with a backup of Pence making a promise to pardon Trump if the Justice Department reneged on the deal. Somehow, the various state AGs (with the acquiesence of the Governors) would have to be brought in to agree not to prosecute at the state level. I have no idea how pending civil litigation would be handled.

Mostly I'm just making this up, but you knew that already, right?
