And let's make it look "official"...

It's worth a shot, right?

1. YES

Prices have hit $3/gal just before the holiday in my area. It's all about the oily oligarchs, domestic and foreign.

2. In Denver metro they are around $2.85

That doesn't sound bad, I know. However, considering that is a jump of $0.70 in four months, it's a big deal. I'm worried that it will get much worse as the summer progresses.

9. I never put in more than $20 at a time

I try to trick myself into conserving whatever is left in the tank. Maybe that's silly, but I usually only stop for gas twice a week.

8. It's more a seasonal thing than anything else.

Historically, gasoline prices are higher in spring/summer than winter.

If one looks at a commodity spot price chart for Gasoline RBOB (Reformulated Blendstock for Oxygenate Blending) over the years for seasonal tendencies, they’ll find that In the lead-up to summer (April/May/June), prices tend to rise in anticipation of peak driving season. Prices tend to fall in the winter when inclement weather keeps consumers off the roads.

14. I moved across the country from CT to CO in 2006, and gas was averaging $3.25 all the way

That was the last time I can recall gas prices being very high. It looks like we are just about there again.

Remember coop gas: buy in at that day's price and only pay that price from then on? I wonder if they will start that again.

15. No, you have to fake trump tweet it to make it official

And you have to caps the "demand" part. That's how you get people's attention so they'll hop to it!

13. republicans are totally to blame for this

... I guess if you are a fatcat republican tycoon corporate lardass who goes golfing every freaking weekend on the public tax dollar, you don't give a shit about gas prices.

Well republicans can shove it, because Americans care bigly.
