The More Trump gets Backed into Corner.

The more I feel he will push for a military strike on North Korea or Iran.. Nothing helps a President's popularity more than the fear and reality of a war.....

i feal this scenario has a good chance..as Trump becomes more and more cornered..

I think about this a lot.... Very Frightening!

he won’t attack North Korea because China backs them.

Both Putin and China have given him money so he’s in debt to them. Ivanka also does business in China - tariff free.

Trump might pull a Reagan type war like the Grenada invasion though. He just wants to nuke something. I’m sure there’s a small little known island somewhere he can go to war with.

If he does nuke something it will serve the purpose. Even we would be terrified of him.

"The Mouse That Roared" and the little island country would beat us. Whoever their leader is would probably be better than what we currently are stuck with.

Terrify the world, and us too. It would terrify me. Then who would do anything more than object.

This is how he operates. He does what he wants, gets the shock reaction but then gets away with it. Who would stop him?

10. Here is a 2017 article about public support for war against Korea

https://www.google.com/amp/www.newsweek.com/do-americans-want-war-north-korea-republicans-far-more-likely-support-724476%3famp=1

Basically, 68% of republicans and 38% of democrats would approve of a preemptive strike against Korea, or 50% of the population.

7. Well, I think that popularity bump might only be temporary

- If a popularity bump happens at all.

Iraq and Afghanistan was popular initially, but well before the 2008 election, it became a huge liability for bush and the republicans. As wars drag on, public opinion seems to wain.

Just as a thought, but I wonder in WWII how support for the war in Europe would have gone if the allies got their butt handed to them during the Battle of the Bulge and it became apparent we were going to lose the war in Europe? I don’t believe public opinion would ever wane in the war against the Japanese as that was a direct attack on us (and I’m sure the idea of losing a war to an Asian nation also hit some racial nerves, like it did in Russia after they lost the Russo-Japanese war to, of all things, an Asian nation).
