(24,906 posts)Just a few minutes ago Chris Matthews gave the details on this. He said they just made opening remarks and left before any classified information was revealed.
I do still think they didn't belong there, though.

@tedbarrettcnn spots Flood entering the Senate for the Gang of Eight meeting. The WH attorney dealing with Russia probe attended both briefings today for at least part of the time, despite the WH saying this week no WH official would attend
There were two from the WH: Flood and Kelly.

(18,579 posts)Emmett was not supposed to be there.
It was intimidation.
Trumps co writer talked about how Trump uses anger to bully, back people down. But is afraid of Mueller, but thinks he can beat him. The co Author said he can not intimidate Mueller. But is arrogant enough to think he can.
Trump thought he could bully Kim,too. Guess that Medallion is wasted, huh?

2/2 ...His presence only underscores what Rudy Giuliani said: the Presidents legal team expects to use information gleaned improperly from the Justice Department or the Presidents allies in Congress to their legal advantage.

For the record, the Presidents Chief of Staff and his attorney in an ongoing criminal investigation into the Presidents campaign have no business showing up to a classified intelligence briefing.
