Two thoughts/suggestions re: NFL rule about standing for national anthem---

1.) Players for each team should agree that if anyone chooses to remain in the locker room, everyone will remain.

2.) Since it is only required that players "stand" if on field when anthem is played, there would be no violation---and no fine--- if a player stood with head bowed and a black-gloved fist raised high. (a la Tommie Smith and John Carlos at Mexico City Olympics)

2. 3) Everybody in the stadium has to stop what they are doing

to salute the damn anthem. If you miss the anthem you can not be admitted in. I mean RUMP wants to kick the players out of the country who kneel so I say we kick fans out of the stadium who don't properly pay homage to the anthem and as I said if you miss it you ain't getting in. How far down ridiculous do we wanna go?

3. Like 2. But a bunch of players going to locker room during anthem sends a strong message.

Of course, that assumes the wimpy network shows only a few players standing on sideline and after anthem a bunch coming on the field.

Don't like the new ruling, but it actually encourages protests by players who return to locker room or under the stands.

4. I really don't see this as a first Amendment issue.

I am sympathetic to those that have chosen to kneel and I think of Trump as the South end of a North bound horse, but this is the work place for these players and I have never found a work place that is a democracy. You follow company policy or look for something else to do.

The owners want a solution that makes all their fans and critics happy so that they can continue to promote their brand and make piles of cash. I don’t believe the proposed policy will do that, but apparently they do.

They just won't come out of the locker room. case closed. Keep earning, that's the goal. Fans rights are important...but, not so much as losing their job or citizenship. If we revoke a mans citizenship for kneeling, imagine what we can do w dt?
