(10,721 posts)That LeBron is not expected to win the MVP Award is outrageous. Cleveland is nothing without him, whereas Houston would still be decent without Harden.

(4,483 posts)but LeBron James is a hero in my book for his social activism. I hope I live long enough for him to get old enough for me to vote for him for President.

(42,278 posts)I fear for my Warriors, although they were great in the 2ND half last night. Rockets have a good team this year.

(33,643 posts)Think of the records about to be set when they win ...
1) Already the first time since 1979 that both Conferences went to Game 7
2) Pretty sure that if the Dubs win it'll be the first time ever that the above happened and BOTH road teams won and advanced, but I can't swear to it ...
3) Pretty sure it'll be the first time ever that the same 2 teams went to the finals 4 years in a row
4) Then of course there's James going for the 8th time straight ... has that happened ... ever?
I think we're heading for a historic matchup ... if CP3 can't go the Warriors are the better team even w/o Iggy ... and Harden is famous for choking under pressure. I have a good feeling about tomorrow.
Not a huge James 'fan' myself, but ... Respect. That dude is nothing short of amazing. 8 years straight in the playoffs, and never lost a series other than in the Finals? Incredible.

(33,643 posts)Kinda unfortunate given the history of 'W', but ... yeah. It's the lazy way to reference the Warriors ...

(10,500 posts)I was surprised. I figured that in the 70s or 80s there would have been a four year run of the Lakers versus the Celtics.
From 57-61 the Celtics played the St. Louis Hawks four times in five years. And from 62-66 the Celtics played the Lakers four times in five years.

(58,724 posts)That certainly didn't help things for Boston. He had some open looks too.

(82,849 posts)I'd be more impressed if he played in the Western Conference, where the best teams play, and have played throughout his career.
