This Is The Result Of Having A 24-Hour-A-Day RW Propaganda Machine
I found this post on a sports website I frequent. The conversation about the National Anthem devolved into this. What you're about to read is the natural result of the existence of a 24-hour-per-day right-wing propaganda network. It can only be described as shocking in its ignorance. And I must admit, when I read it, I really became discouraged and depressed because I knew that the delusions contained within it were shared by more than just a few fringe whackos. It really is frightening that there are people who actually believe this walking among us. When I read something like this, it reminds me of the Lewis Black line when he talked to someone who said George W. Bush was a great leader, and he replied that he wondered where one could get drugs that would make one so delusional.
Here's what this person posted (and bear in mind that this person is likely from Texas, so you can guess what his political leanings likely are):
"The facts are the current president is using executive orders to undo the unconstitutional EO that Obama put it place. He is returning the country to the rule of law, not writing his own laws. Not using unelected bureaucrats to reshape the country the way he thinks it should be.
The economy was surviving under Obama despite everything he did to curtail it. Despite trying to kill coal plants, ignoring contract law and screwing share holders by giving 50% of GM to the labor unions, despite creating more laws to crush small businesses every chance he got. He didn't do a darn thing to help the economy, he tried to stall it plain and simple. The american entrepreneur survived the deluge of regulations through growth was the worst since WWII. Obama gets no credit for any economic growth. His pretentious behind lectured the public on getting use to having less success, not expecting to be able to give our children the ability to have more than the previous generation. He wanted America to be less powerful and successful.
What does work is lowering corporate taxes so businesses can expand, hire workers and create wealth. You're seeing more money paid in taxes by higher revenues. Kennedy did it, Reagan did it, and the dems always claim it won't work. Poor people can't hire anyone. Obama passes a trillion dollars in stimulus that went where? No where...it evaporated. He admitted it didn't create shovel ready jobs, it was a boondoggle.
The idea that we go in debt by giving tax cuts is a false narrative. It's our money. The government doesn't make anything, they redistribute our money. It's not theirs, they think it is, and they play this game that if they have less of it, it's creates a debt. No, they just have less to spend on stupid stuff.
And don't kid yourself, the great depression was worse and lasted much longer because the government got involved."
