Republican Rick Wilson: If the GOP found 'spygate' intel 'Devin Nunes would have run out like a monkey with his ass on fire'

(5,210 posts)creative too. Every now and then he does a "treatment," I'll call it -- like a pitch for a screenplay or TV script covering recent events, and they're marvelous.

On Trump, 'is there any undesirable trait that Mr. Trump does not possess.'
On Pence - [was brutal, and sort of initiated open season on Pence].

(56,828 posts)so, while I'm under no illusions that Wilson and Schmidt and Ana Navarro are turning into liberal Democrats, they're some of the most outspoken anti Trumpers out there. I wish high profile Democrats would speak out as strongly as they do.
In 2016, if just 1 vote in 100 had flipped, Clinton would not only have won Wisconsin, Michigan and PA, but NC and Florida as well and we would have been talking about her electoral landslide.

(6,254 posts)battle lines. At this point, I dont care what your political leanings are, if you dislike Trump, you are ok with me. Once the ship is back on course, we can all retreat to our respective corners and do battle. Provided, that is, we have a country to go back to.
I personally find it untenable or intolerable to accept such aid from consultants of this ilk-opportunists who fought for and were compensated so well to elevate this monster to power. Their political leanings sounds innocuous-it is not so.
We must stand up and declare such vociferous enablers of Trump (prior to the installment/election)
what they truly are. Cowards and the best examples of what traitors are. Are we now so desperate to give these people such quarter?

(6,254 posts)we need that special kind of GOP viciousness On our side. The time for polite society is over. We need all the help we can get against the Monsters. We can return to traditional battle formations when we clear the field of the enemy. I know its distasteful, but times are desparte.
Respectfully, they are not on our side. My position. They only rally to us when it suits their career perspective. One must ask-given their former support of the cruel repub ideology-can they ever be trusted as a meaningful adversary of what true progressives need fight for.
As we all know when you invite the devil to fight for you and bless you with fortune, there may be a cost extracted and with unfortunate, political consequences.

(58,724 posts)From Rick Wilson's twitter feed:
How will NYC suffer under de Blasio? Gradually, then suddenly.
Also relevant to De Blasio's tenure: 20 years of pent-up Dem/liberal demand for activism, money, appointments, power.
That De Blasio invests so much political energy to destroy charter schools for disadvantaged kids speaks poorly of his character.
Comrade DeBlasio (like so many) secretly sees merit as unfairness.
DeBlasio proposes broadband welfare. Because of course he does.
But it's not like we didn't WARN you that De Blasio is a union thug with a revenge agenda wrapped in feel-good prog rhetoric.
And on and on and on....
Here's the most recent one (from yesterday):
