7. I think their original plan was to fatally damage

the Clinton presidency, and they didn’t actually expect Trump to win. They want chaos and factionalism to engulf our political system, which was happening anyway, so they were and are just accelerating the process.

If a hostile power wants to cripple the USA, it's not going happen militarily except at unimaginable cost, and the biggest prizes, our means of production and agricultural might, would be destroyed and useless.

Manipulate elections to where the executive plus a majority in Congress and on the Supreme Court are made up of people who do NOT have the general well-being of the country at heart. Install into the government people of greed, jealousy, cruelty and deep-seated inferiority complexes. Divide the opposition so they concentrate on attacking each other instead of the enemy in D.C., and make sure the people picked to be in charge of the economy, national security, the judiciary and the military are people completely unqualified for their positions.
