Merchants of Death: Gun company CEOs that pay the NRA. James Dabney, Anthony Acitelli

http://bit.ly/2BLMXwL

Today’s NRA is a lobbying group that benefits gun manufacturers. And the primary goal of gun manufacturers is to sell more guns. Donations to the NRA are just a marketing expense for companies that make guns.

So the cycle is this: gun companies sell guns to Americans. They make a profit off the guns they sell. They invest those profits in part into marketing — into donations to the NRA — and the NRA tries to get Americans to buy more guns, without regard to the social cost or what Americans might die as a result

We often talk about “the NRA” as if it is a faceless organization. As if it’s just a three-letter acronym. But there are real people behind the NRA, who control big donations to the NRA, and who deserve to be identified. Those people behind the NRA bear responsibility for the NRA’s actions. Here are a few of the people who donate to and support the NRA. These are the people who are responsible for what the NRA does in America.

James Dabney

Debney on the NRA: “We looked back at the support we had given the NRA over time and decided, really quite honestly, that it wasn’t enough,” he said.
Unhappy with what he saw as a deficiency, Debney went into action. Under his leadership, the company has recently donated well in excess of $1 million to various NRA programs”.

Anthony Acitelli

“NRA All Access examines the dozens of National Rifle Association programs responsible for protecting our Second Amendment rights and creating a future for our country’s shooting traditions,” said Anthony Acitelli, President and CEO of Taurus Holdings.
“Taurus has been a proud supporter from the start and we are honored to help bring NRA All Access to homes across the United States.”
