(90,762 posts)But we have to tell someone else we love a show. It's safe if we only talk about it between the two of us.

(18,479 posts)I like him as Dan Conner,
I liked him in Flight.
I liked him in King Ralph.
And he was great as Det. Andre DeSoto in The Big Easy. A small part but he had delivery.

(4,308 posts)JG only had a supporting part in the film.
OH Brother... Is a unique film, like a 40's setting, with a story somewhat modeled after Homer's Odyssey. As a musical.
Here's a short clip from it:

(23,302 posts)who lost their jobs in the wake of Roseannes racist rants. They didnt have this coming...but she certainly did.

(90,762 posts)continued to rant once it started.
She deleted a lot of her sicko tweets just prior to the reboot. (and during)
ABC was saying things like politics won't be part of the 2nd season and they were separating the character from the actress and hopes people would as well.
Disney/ABC knew their "star" could ruin things.
A lot of the main characters had other work - shows/movies/the stage.

(37,648 posts)because of the backlash and unpopularity of it (and to disguise the propaganda nature of the show). So they were attempting to dial back the station a bit on that...but Roseanne is Roseanne.
I think what may have happened is that she has been posting in conservative forums, where that sort of talk is commonplace. She forgot that the real world doesn't accept disgusting talk like that. And it is disgusting. Calling a black person anything related to you know what comes straight out of the old KKK book and is among the worst of things you can say. Or maybe it's just me who is particularly offended by the particular statement she made. There was one like it made about Michelle Obama not too long ago, as well as a photo that made the rounds. I just find that very offensive...and it's a particular thing that makes the conservative circuit.
