Ambien should sue Roseanne for claiming that their product causes overt racism. I've seen their commercials. They don't mention that as a side effect.


I ate a whole pack of oreos and thought i saw an alien after taking ambien one time. I was not a racist asshole towards the alien nor anyone else.


I've taken Ambien and all I did was eat a quesadilla cooked inside another quesadilla.

I've been on Ambien.. been on strong ass painkillers...came out of a anesthesia from a 22-hr spinal surgery...the worst thing I EVER said in any of those states was rambling to my Puerto Rican neurosurgeon saying he was fine & sweet and I wanted to have his kids. Girl, bye


I actually had some bad experiences while on #Ambien.

I woke up in my yard feeding catfood to raccoons on paper plates wearing only a teddy.

I also woke up driving to NYC (I used to commute) in my bathrobe and flip flops.

Managed never to send a racist email or tweet, though.

1. I can't even tell you on how many levels I like this post ...

My best friend went out to his car in the AM and tried to drive it and discovered that the night before he'd destroyed the undercarriage driving ACROSS THE STREET (he's pretty lazy lol) from his apt complex that he'd successfully navigated about 1000 times ... to get to the grocery store ... for munchies at 3am ... none of which he recalls cause Ambien, he just had to piece the story together based on destruction to both his car and the median between the complex and the store ... did 12K in damage to his BMW (only a 3 series, around 2002)... driving over the median, apparently.

I've talked to him on the phone a few times when he absolutely had 0 recollection the next day ... and he was never racist either.

2. The first time I took it I made a big pot of chicken

cacciatore, ate half of it, cleaned up (sort of) and remembered none of it. This was at about 2 AM and a neighbor was outside smoking and heard and saw me and said "Hi" through my back door. He told me about this and I have no memory of it to this day. After that I cut the dose in half and now it makes me sleepy for 4 hours. It never made me say anything that I normally wouldn't have said. You can't blame Ambien for someone being a racist. Look at all her other hate filled actions that she was proud of and she was NOT on Ambien all of those times.

6. Absolutely agree that Ambien is not to blame for the person Roseanne has been for years!

But - seriously folks - you have done all this while on Ambien and STILL take this sh_t? What are you thinking? This stuff is doing a number on your brain and making you do things that are on the edge of danger.

The doc gave my hubby one Ambien to help him sleep after surgery, after enduring one sleepless night. I watched him contentedly snooze for two hours and then I crashed on the couch in his hospital room. About 2am, I heard him calling my name - but the bed was empty! The room was dark, no nurses. I found him stark naked in the bathroom, totally confused, off his oxygen, having dragged his IV poles around, trying to rip out his blood drains and catheter. I screamed down the hall for help, and it took three nurses to calm him down and dress him, walk him up and down the hall for 20 minutes, then get him in bed with the bed alarm set. He could have done major, major damage to himself.

With the history this drug has, I can't believe the FDA still approves it.

It's the only thing that has allowed me to sleep. I've taken it for 11 years & probably will for life.

7. I took ambien for years, but never race hated.

While dosed on ambien I did tell my wife I intended to marry her, and also posted here on it. At the time my then girlfriend used to call it truth serum.

Apparently she would notice when I was in a trance like state in bed, and she would ask me questions (Alley was a career Federal Corrections Officer). I guess I passed the interviews, because she married me.

9. Because of semi-psychotic reactions I have had to minor drugs

I will NEVER take ambien.

I heed the warning from Jack Nicholson. Said he has taken every drug on the planet and never wigged out the way he did on Ambien.

There is a Judge in Fort Lauderdale who blames morning DUI on Ambien. I believe her when she says the Ambien was still in effect when she drove to work.
