He said he didn't fire Comey because of the Russia investigation. Why did he lie about that? Everybody knows there is a record of him saying the exact opposite.
Perhaps he is taking the "obstruction of justice" charges more seriously?
So now, he can address his supporters in a week or two and tell them that he said he had never had anything to do with the Russians?
If people get too hot on the trail of your lies, simply change the lies?
Some people will believe anything.

(62,444 posts)Let's say that I'm accused of robbing a bank.
Now, if I say, "Okay, I robbed the bank" one time, and then say, "I didn't rob the bank" a thousand times, well... that's like a 1000 times more evidence that I didn't do it than if I did do it.

(62,444 posts)Look, you got one video of me holding up a bank. But I got hundreds of videos of me not robbing a bank.
The weight of the evidence is strongly in my favor.

You would think in a day and age where anyone can fact-check anything instantly, lies like this would be almost impossible to pull off. But it's tough when you have a complicit news media operating 24/7 to prop his fat ass up.

It was interesting to see that the trump had called Sessions over to the White House yesterday? We can only imagine the conversation between the two.

(62,414 posts)not sure if that is the right phrase. He is crazy so therefore he is incapable of understanding the law.
That will be coupled with a plea that he couldn't get justice because his lawyers were incompetent. Couple of sentences from Giuliani should convince any judge of that.
