wow I just witnessed Ari Melber become Ari Fleisher as he subs for Lawrence on MSNBC

I have liked watching Ari Melber this last year however, after watching the latest segment on MSNBC at 7 tonight I think he has another directive another mission. He has shot down each progressive so far in the hour trying to embarrass Jason on national TV. That little f*&kers true colors came out. I am worried the Trump team GOP has a lot more power than we give them credit for and maybe they turned another.

I am getting very anxious we has already lost the rule of law now its whos tougher gets to make the rules.

My only real beef with Ari is his intense need to be the "hippest" guy on the air. (pardon the outdated term, but you know what I mean). I honestly doubt if 2% of his audience gets his references, especially to rap lyrics.

This ^^^

I have friends who watch him who don't know anything to very little about rap music/rappers, and who don't understand his references about politics, life or a point he's trying to make via rap music/rap life. So, I have to translate him to them

He can't be beat when doing serious interviews, but when he interrupts to tell a lame ass joke, or make some ridiculous pop culture reference in the middle of a serious topic, I want to throw something at the tv. It's, at times, painful to watch him throw out some nonsense reference, and the guest is on satellite still talking, and "joke" goes over like a lead balloon.

He seems to be trying to cut out a niche between Rachel Maddow and Jimmy Kimmel. My advice to Ari? Strive to be more like Rachel, because Kimmel has no equal.

who likes to challenge guests with arguments from the other side. I’ve seen him do it on his own show. It’s his training as a lawyer.

Ari Melber didn’t turn into Fleisher, he thinks Trump is an abomination and a threat to democracy. He has made that clear many times.

He got my attention when he started ridiculing the last guest, an economist, by making wisecracks that the poor guy didn't catch. I had the impression he disagreed with the man and was determined not to let him continue speaking by constantly interrupting him with irrelevant comments. I can't recall seeing Ari Melber act so hostile before, so I'm going to say he just was really off his game tonight and hope he doesn't do a repeat performance.

But last few days I have noticed he has been short with guests answering curtly and not allowing the guests to respond especially Jason H today that pooe quest appeared shellshocked after Melber got into him. Yes Melber is a lawyer kudos for him but he was still behaving like and a$$hole to guests today.

Scary part: This is the way Melber would act if word came down Trump has found some way around the Russia investigation and is going to be in TV each day to control his pride called the Trump followers. The 2020 election seems a very long time away...

He seems to be getting full of himself, distracted making puns and jokes about what guests are saying.

It was funny at first and when less frequent: a little annoying now.

A couple of weeks ago [?] Ari had on his show a retired Republican Congressman? from Missouri who argued that Trump was guilty of treason. Ari was fairly aggressive at questioning the treason argument. Ari then let some right wing commentator go through many stock talking points defending trump - Ari let the rw guy go untouched! [fwiw, I was annoyed. Not infrequent happening on CNN especially, but too often on MSNBC]
